Murchison House Station Tours Offering half day tours of the Murchison House Station, one of the oldest and largest pastoral stations in Western Australia. Learn about the history of the past settlers, the station's cemetery which dates back to the 1850s, see the rugged outback country, wildflowers, wildlife and see the modern day station. A tourist bus will pick you up at your accommodation or at the visitor centre and take you to the homestead, where you will be transferred to a four wheel drive vehicles to tour part of the station. Morning tea is served on the homestead lawns overlooking the Murchison River.

Take
a scenic flight along the spectacular sea cliffs which rise to a staggering
900 feet at Womerangee Hill or see the expanse of the Zuytdorp Cliffs
located to the north and south of Kalbarri. The 400 million year old
gorges
of the Murchison River provide a beautiful panorama of the landscape
of the Kalbarri National Park. The view of "The Loop" from the
air gives a complete picture of this meandering river, cutting its way
though the ancient sandstones, as it makes its way to the sea. Expand

trees have been planted in the last two decades and many areas of remnant
vegetation have been protected. Spectacular wildflowers and
bushland - carpets of wildflowers are just one part of the
amazing diversity the vegetation on Riverside exhibits. There is always
something flowering in the bush and many species have been collated
for our own herbarium. Great photo opportunities. Native fauna -
there are always plenty of native animals to see, including the pets
