The Pearl Farm at Red Cliff is just a 20 minute boat trip from Monkey Mia across the sparkling blue waters of Red Cliffe Bay - and area with an abundance of marine life including dugongs, sharks, rays and turtles where you will have opportunity to see this abundant marine life on the tour.

On transfer to the New Pontoon, "Sea Lab 1", our enthusiastic and dedicated staff will give an entertaining, educational talk and demonstration of cultivating, seeding and harvesting the Pinctada Albina and Pinctada Margaritifera (Black Oyster), which produces the magnificent coloured pearls, and other interesting facets of this very fascinating industry.

Ocean Park, located in the pristine, Shark Bay World Heritage Listed precinct is by no means alone in its tourist appeal. There's plenty to see, all within a convenient day trip from Denham — Shark Bay's town site and accommodation facility. If its excitement you're after and a close encounter with nature's fierce creatures you must visit Ocean Park. This exciting tourist park offers a rarely captured insight into the natural habitat of Sharks, Sting Rays, Adult Pink Snapper and a variety of other sea creatures.

Wooden bridges reach out to a shady island in a man-made lagoon, with fish swimming below. This is where the action is; The sharks and all the other fish in the lagoon are fed every day between 12 and 5pm. The Oceanarium provides a closer examination of various fish species, coral and sea grasses. Shark Bay Coaches and Tours visit Ocean Park during one of their tours

Eagle Bluff - Located 20 kilometres south of Denham where The Eagle Bluff provides magnificent views of the bay. A large population of dugongs live in the vicinity of the bluff. Best viewing times to see the dugongs is in summer when they come close to the shore to feed on the sea grass in the area. Shark Bay has the world's largest population of Dugongs. Dolphins and Manta Rays can also be seen in the bay below from the lookout viewing platform. Additionally Osprey and Sea Eagles are often seen in the area. Eagle Bluff is also a popular snorkelling and fishing site.

Stromatolites at Hamelin Pool - An example of a major stage in the earth's evolutionary history. They were the first life forms to appear on earth three point five billion years ago and then over the next one billion years, they dominated the earth's primordial seas. These ancient cyanobacteria would often grow in colonies, trapping sediments with mucous to form great mats, or reefs of rock-like structures called stromatolites. Hamelin Pool's salinity levels are so high that plants and grazing animals cannot survive. As a result, stromatolites now flourish in area.

Visit the Flint Cliff Telegraph Station and Post Office where an interpretive display can be seen showing the evolution of Stromatolites. Conducted tours of the Stromatolites and nearby Shell Block Quarry from which most of the surrounding station homesteads are built , are available from this location.

Hamelin Pool Telegraph Station - Here you will find the historic Flint Cliff Telegraph Station and Post Office which is now a museum displaying a living Stromatolite. Originally opened in 1884 the old living quarters has been converted to a tearoom providing Devonshire teas, light meals and refreshments. Caravan park and camping facilities are also available in this area.

Shell Beach - Located on the Hamelin Road about 45 kilometres from Denham and is accessible to all vehicles. This beach is formed from billions of tiny shells and is one of only two in the world.

It stretches for approximately one-hundred and ten kilometres and is between seven and ten metres deep.

These hard packed shells when cut into blocks, have been used in the construction of a number of buildings throughout Denham and Shark Bay area.

Little Lagoon  - Located just off the Monkey Mia Road only 5 kilometres from Denham is Little Lagoon. An excellent location for barbecues, picnics, fishing or relaxation.  The lagoon is a flooded "birrida" which is the Aboriginal name for salt claypans, which is a saline lake formed when the sea levels were much higher than present day. Gypsum was deposited on the floors of theses birridas. Little Lagoon has tidal channel connecting the lagoon to the sea.

A walk trail of approximately 2 hours duration takes you from Denham to Little Lagoon. The areas flora and fauna can been easily seen from this walk trail offering a large rvariety of plant species and bird life. On the sandy beach between Lagoon Point and the mouth of the Little Lagoon is a large array of shells and it is home to a variety of sea animals. . Little Lagoon has picnic shelters and a gas barbecue however the area is strictly no camping. Warning - "Stonefish are found in the shallow water of the Lagoon"

Town Bluff - Just a short walk south of town it is an ideal spot for photographing the town or the fabulous sunsets. On the way you may be able to distinguish two rows of rocks which are believed to be an Aboriginal fish trap.

Unique Buildings - St Andrew’s Church and the Old Pearler Restaurant are examples of buildings that were built from coquina shell blocks taken from the Shell Block Quarry near Hamelin Pool.

Francois Peron National Park - Francois Peron National Park covers some 52,500 hectares at the northern extreme of the Peron Peninsula. Under the care of the Department of Conservation and Land Management, this area has become one of the most important natural areas in Australia and is home to many rare and endangered species. The park is in the midst of the Shark Bay World Heritage Area and is adjacent to the Shark Bay Marine Park.

You need a four-wheel-drive to visit Peron's scenic coastline with dramatic contrasts of red cliffs, blue water and white beaches. From the cliffs of Cape Peron visitors may see bottlenose dolphins playing, dugongs feeding, green and loggerhead turtles surfacing for air and large manta rays gliding past just beneath the surface. The park and the rest of the peninsula is interspersed with gypsum claypans known as birridas.

Shark Bay Marine Park - The many bays, inlets and islands in the Shark Bay region support a profusion of aquatic life. Turtles, whales, prawns, scallops, sea snakes, fish and sharks are common. Communities of corals, sponges and other invertebrates, together with a unique mix of tropical and temperate fish species, have also formed in some areas. The wide intertidal flats on the shores of Shark Bay support a unique community of burrowing molluscs, hermit crabs and other invertebrates. But the very foundation of Shark Bay's ecosystem is the seagrass.
